TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. This contest is open to Singaporean and PR residents of JurongClementi Town Council only, except its employees, immediate family members of the Organiser, and their affiliates.
2. Areas within Jurong-Clementi Town Council include Jurong GRC (Bukit Batok East, Clementi, Jurong Central, Jurong Spring and Taman Jurong), Bukit Batok SMC, and Yuhua SMC. To find out if your address falls within the estates of Jurong-Clementi Town, key in your postal code at this link: https://mylegacy.life.gov.sg/find-a-service/ find-town-council/
3. To qualify, photograph(s) submitted must be:
a. The participant’s own work and he/she must own the copyright of the entry
b. Taken within the estates of Jurong GRC, Bukit Batok SMC and Yuhua SMC
c. In compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), i.e. the consent of any persons featured in the photographs must be obtained and recorded by the photographer, and be submitted to JRTC with your contest entry
d. Submitted by the closing date via the official online contest form or by email to enquiry@jrtc.org.sg. Late entries shall be disqualified.
e. Submitted digitally in landscape JPEG format and not exceeding 5MB in size
4. By entering this contest, participants:
a. Agree to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal data for the purposes of this contest and related admin, publicity, recordkeeping and verification purposes. Winners may be interviewed by the organiser and consent to public disclosure of their names and the results of the contest.
b. Must include their name, contact number, address, email and the location the photo was taken. Entries without complete information will be disqualified.
c. Grant Jurong-Clementi Town Council and its associates a non-exclusive, royalty-free and transferable right to use, store, reproduce, publish, publicly display, print, edit, or distribute any photographs submitted for the Contest in any media format and channels (including website, collaterals and social media platforms) for Jurong-Clementi Town Council’s publicity, promotional and/or marketing purposes.
d. Acknowledge that they may submit multiple entries but limited to only 1 prize.
e. Understand that photographs that have won prizes in other photography competitions, have been previously used or are intended to be used for any kind of commercial purposes, must not be submitted.
f. Accept that digital manipulation that distorts the reality of the photographs is not allowed. Only basic enhancements, such as sharpening, contrast adjustment, conversion of colour images to be black and white are allowed.
g. Warrants that he/she has not trespassed into any areas closed to the public and has put the welfare of the subject (if applicable) foremost and has not obtained the photograph via any unethical means.
5. Photograph(s) should not include any objectionable content. The organiser shall have sole and absolute discretion to decide whether content is objectionable. Photograph(s) deemed to be objectionable shall be disqualified.’
6. The organiser reserves the sole and absolute discretion to exclude or disqualify any submission(s) and/or entry from the contest.
7. Winners will be selected and notified by 31 August 2024 via mail or email.
8. Jurong-Clementi Town Council reserves the right, at any time, to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest (and/or prizes).
